Job description

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978 by Donald and Sylvia Weeres. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The Purchasing Specialist will prepare, track, ship, and monitor supplies for the company.

Hours and Wages

  • Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM OR 7:30AM-4:30PM
  • $20.00-$22.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the ordering, distributing, invoicing, and billing of uniforms and company casuals
  • Order company supplies
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and take messages for the department
  • Receive daily invoices from vendors and enter into current inventory
  • Enter daily transfers from corporate location to branch locations
  • Perform periodic complete inventory counts of all supplies
  • General filing duties, cleaning, and maintenance of office space
  • Interact with vendors and sales personnel
  • Manage inventory for both light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles, including parts tracking, stocking, and reconciliation
  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming parts and materials; coordinate outbound shipping as needed
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage and organization of parts
  • Place, track, and fulfill parts orders to support maintenance and operational needs
  • Take and process parts orders via phone and email, ensuring accuracy and timely response
  • Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and service departments to ensure parts availability
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder parts to prevent shortages or delays
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

  • Clerical or administrative experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Education and Experience

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
