Position Summary
The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality. This role involves verifying deliveries against purchase orders, documenting discrepancies, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring products are stored safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from trucks and delivery vehicles.
  • Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation.
  • Inspect products for damage, defects, or shortages and report discrepancies.
  • Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (if certified).
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, and shipping departments regarding received goods.
  • Keep receiving and storage areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and company policies.
