Job description

Parkland Golf & Country Club, located in Parkland, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Purchasing Agent! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
General Purpose:
Accepts deliveries for the facility and documents receipt of goods. Distributes and prepares outbound shipments as needed.
Essential Duties:
    • Verifies check-in deliveries using established policies and guidelines.
    • Places orders with vendors based on needs of culinary department.
    • Works with vendors on approved delivery schedule.
    • Shops vendors for best pricing and actively keeps inventory sheets with current pricing.
    • Performs monthly inventories for all venues and submits to accounting based on current guidelines.
    • Checks par levels and works with Culinary Management to maintain current and future pars.
    • Oversees Prep team on stocking delivered items and overall organization of store rooms and coolers.
    • Regular and reliable attendance.
    • Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Regularly stands, walks, use hands, reaches with hands and arms, talks or hears. Occasionally sits stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Driver's License
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Knowledge of inventory control applications.
