The Legacy Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is looking for a talented and innovative full-time Executive Chef to join our opening team and lead the culinary operations of this 77-room boutique hotel. We are seeking a culinary professional who thrives in a dynamic, service-driven environment. As Executive Chef, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your team while providing elevated hospitality and personalized guest service. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating memorable, plated moments, blends creative culinary artistry with business acumen, believes in fostering a culture of mentorship and support, and implements rigorous standards of food safety, preparation, and presentation.

The Legacy hotel features four distinct food and beverage outlets, including catering and banquet operations:  

  • Privato: Chops, Seafood, Elegant Italian
  • La Vista: Coastal Italian & Raw Bar (with a rooftop bar)
  • Lily Jean’s: Coffee bar by day, Martini bar by night.
  • Locale at the Legacy Event Center

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Proven success as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in an upscale environment.

Scope of Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Chef to elevate and maintain premium food quality and service standards across all outlets. This includes directing daily food preparation, execution, and presentation.
  • Inventory and supply management – oversee all food purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and proper storage organization.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including line cooks and stewards, ensuring optimized production schedules for daily service and special events.
  • Oversee menu development, recipe standardization, and daily food preparation, including buffets, to ensure high-quality execution and adherence to The Legacy Hotel & Marriott brand standards.
  • Establish and enforce kitchen protocols to safely accommodate guest allergies and dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
  • Manage food and labor costs through effective forecasting, purchasing, inventory management, and scheduling for multiple outlets.
  • Build strategic relationships with regional suppliers to source fresh, local ingredients that support a farm-to-table philosophy.
  • Drive innovation while maintaining operational excellence and financial performance.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, to provide hands-on leadership during peak service times.
