Job Description

Overview:

  • Responsible for purchasing of production and office supplies

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders on a timely basis
  • Communicate with supplies to track shipments, manage deliveries and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify when to replenish materials
  • Maintain price records and research best value and terms for supplies
  • Inform management of upcoming price increases, improved product availability and alternatives
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Maintained detailed, accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, delivery confirmations and price lists
  • Experience with MS office or related business software

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years' experience in purchasing
  • Clear, concise oral and written communication skills
  • Candidates arePREFERREDwho offer the following:
    • College degree
    • Two years' purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience in the corrugated box industry

Physical Demands:

  • The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • A portion of the work space is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30 degrees - 110 degrees Fahrenheit).
