Hybrid role- Berea & Cuyahoga Falls, OH


Lead the Supply Chain for Two Employee-Owned Manufacturing Companies

Alloy Engineering (Berea) and Mach3 Machining (Cuyahoga Falls) are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, inventory management, material planning, and supplier performance across both businesses. This is a hands on, highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and offers the opportunity to drive operational performance, improve cash flow, and support on-time delivery for complex manufacturing operations.


This position is ideal for a hands-on supply chain leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys partnering with operations, production, engineering, and suppliers to solve problems and improve results.

What You'll Do

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Lead sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, specialty alloys, and production supplies
  • Build and strengthen supplier partnerships while negotiating pricing, lead times, and service agreements
  • Manage outside processing suppliers, including heat treat, coating, machining, and inspection services
  • Develop secondary sourcing strategies to reduce risk and improve supply chain reliability
  • Oversee MRO purchasing and supplier performance initiatives

Inventory & Working Capital Management

  • Optimize inventory levels while supporting production requirements
  • Reduce excess and obsolete inventory
  • Improve inventory accuracy, material availability, and inventory turns
  • Support company cash flow objectives through strategic purchasing decisions

Planning & Operations

  • Lead material planning and MRP activities across Alloy Engineering and Mach3
  • Coordinate material flow between facilities
  • Ensure material traceability and inventory accuracy
  • Partner with operations leadership to align purchasing strategy with production schedules
  • Evaluate make-versus-buy opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability

Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of purchasing professionals and MRO personnel
  • Establish clear performance expectations, metrics, and accountability
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operations
  • Create visibility into key performance indicators including supplier performance, inventory, and delivery metrics

Requirements

  •  7+ years of supply chain, purchasing, procurement, materials management, or operations experience in manufacturing      environments
  • Experience within fabrication, machining, metals, and industrial manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, supplier negotiations, MRP/ERP systems, and production planning
  • Proven leadership experience managing purchasing or supply chain teams
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience sourcing metals, specialty alloys, or industrial manufacturing materials
  • Experience managing outside processing suppliers
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • Hybrid-Multi-site manufacturing experience: work schedule: 3 days at Alloy Engineering, 1 day at Mach3 and remote 1 day
