Compensation: This is a non-exempt, hourly position with commission opportunities. Expected total annual earnings range from $45,000 to $65,000, including hourly wages and qualifying commissions.
Location: Farmington, NM (This is an in-person position)
Job Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift (Occasional Saturdays may be required based on business needs)

Position Summary

The Project Coordinator / Sales Support position is a unique hybrid role designed to support both the operational and sales functions of a retail home center.

While the primary responsibility of this position is coordinating the post-sale home buying process, this individual is also cross trained to assist with customer sales activities as business needs require.

In addition to an hourly base wage, this position is eligible to earn commissions on qualifying home sales and other incentive opportunities in accordance with the applicable compensation plan.

Working closely with the General Manager, Housing Consultants, customers, lenders, contractors, factory personnel, and the Corporate Office, this position helps ensure an exceptional customer experience from the initial customer interaction through home delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has exceptional organizational skills while remaining comfortable assisting customers throughout the sales process.


Primary Responsibilities

Project Coordination (Primary Responsibility)

  • Coordinate all post-sale customer activities from contract through home delivery.
  • Review contracts for completeness and accuracy.
  • Communicate with customers throughout the construction and delivery process.
  • Coordinate financing, lenders, contractors, and factory personnel.
  • Process purchase orders, change orders, and required documentation.
  • Track deal progress within Cirrus and internal reporting systems.
  • Schedule deliveries and coordinate logistics.
  • Collect final payments and ensure all funding requirements are met.
  • Process warranty, titling, and delivery documentation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the customer, retail location, Corporate Office, lenders, and contractors.

Sales Support & Customer Engagement Responsibilities

As business needs require, this position may:

  • Welcome walk-in customers and answer general product questions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and assist with lead follow-up.
  • Conduct model home tours.
  • Assist customers in identifying homes that best meet their needs.
  • Prepare pricing estimates, purchase agreements, and related sales documentation.
  • Guide customers through the home buying process from initial inquiry through contract execution.
  • Close home sales in accordance with company policies and established pricing guidelines.
  • Maintain CRM notes and customer activity.
  • Support Housing Consultants during periods of increased customer traffic.
  • Assist with customer outreach.
  • Maintain product knowledge and stay current on available homes, pricing, and promotions.

Administrative Support

  • Answer incoming telephone calls.
  • Greet visitors and vendors.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Process deposits and invoices.
  • Maintain customer and vendor files.
  • Provide administrative support to the General Manager and sales team.
  • Assist with general office operations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Two or more years of experience in project coordination, customer service, sales support, administrative support, mortgage processing, logistics, or account management.
  • Previous customer-facing sales experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and CRM software.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Sales license may be required based on the state or location requirements and must be obtained and maintained within the required timeframe, if applicable.

Cross-Training Expectations

This position is intentionally cross-trained in both Project Coordination and customer sales support functions. Although Project Coordination remains the primary responsibility, employees in this role are expected to assist with customer-facing sales activities whenever operational needs require. Daily responsibilities may vary based on staffing levels, customer traffic, and business priorities.
