RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead small AP team in execution of accountabilities 
  • Ensure accuracy of receipts and settlements for ingredients
  • Maintain vendor files pertaining to lien notifications
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, corporate and regulatory policies regarding vendor & tax payments
  • Address contract and application errors in a timely manner
  • Communicate with supplier AR groups regarding contracts & payments
  • Work with internal & external customers
  • Active role in training feed mill staff on entry of daily receiving tickets
  • Oversight and assurance of cross-training of hourly AP clerks
  • Records maintenance in compliance with departments record retention program
  • Support team in management of fluctuating workloads to ensure all area responsibilities are completed accurately and on time 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Strong accounting background
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving & decision-making skills
  • Proficient computer skills with experience in MS Office 
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting or equivalent experience in an accounting discipline
  • Supervisory experience

Pay Range & Benefits:

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base hiring pay range for this role is between $59,025 - $82.625 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will ,depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
