Summary/ObjectiveThe Purchasing Assistant provides office support to the Purchasing Department with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for data entry, creating and generating purchase orders to receipt of inventory and invoice settlement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform data entry, tracking issues with specific vendors and communicating findings to buyers.
  • Process reminders and order confirmations.
  • Preparation and processing of purchase orders and corresponding documents in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain complete and updated purchasing records/data and pricing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and locations to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Provide effective communication regarding accounts payable issues with vendors and staff.
  • Assist with filing all documents accordingly.
  • Maintain a neat, organized work area.
  • Complete various projects thoroughly by assigned deadline

Required, Education and Experience:
Education
• High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
Experience• 1+ years of administrative and/or customer service experience required.
