Job description

YOUR DAY TO DAY:
As our Procurement Expeditor, your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of materials, goods, and services necessary for the company's production or operational processes. This role involves working closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to monitor the status of orders, shipments, and supplies, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

Order Management:

  • Maintaining a clear and organized system to monitor and track the progress of orders to ensure timely delivery of materials, products, or services.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to expedite orders when delays occur.
  • Ensure that all order details (quantity, quality, delivery times) are accurate and meet company specifications.

Vendor Communication/Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a smooth flow of materials.
  • Communicate any urgent needs to vendors and follow up regularly on delivery status.
  • Resolve any discrepancies with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery, or order issues.

Production/Team Support:

  • Work closely with the production and warehouse teams to ensure materials are delivered on time for manufacturing or operational purposes.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid production delays.
  • Track backorders and expedite shipping to meet deadlines.

Problem-Solving:

  • Address any issues related to procurement, shipments, or delays, ensuring quick resolutions to prevent production halts.
  • Collaborate with logistics, inventory, and production teams to adjust schedules as necessary.

Generating Reports:

  • Create reports detailing supply chain performance and inventory levels

    YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve under pressure.
    • Minimum of one year of experience with inventory management and order tracking systems.
    • Familiarity with supply chain operations and logistics.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
    • Previous experience in an expeditor or related role preferred
    • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

      Education and Experience:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required; Diploma or certificate in supply chain, logistics, or related field is an asset.
      • Previous experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management a plus.

      Work Environment:

      • Office and/or warehouse setting.
      • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
      • Onsite Monday through Friday.

      Salary Range: $20 - $23 / hour
