Core Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure seamless receiving and inventory processes.

  • Verify that all orders are received accurately by confirming quantities, packaging, weight, quality, and invoice details.

  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage caused during refrigeration, transit, or handling, and promptly report any discrepancies to the appropriate vendor or freight carrier.

  • Ensure all received products are stored properly and invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Manage the shipping and receiving of all goods and materials.

  • Receive, sign for, and distribute all incoming packages.

  • Prepare reports and documentation as requested.

  • Ensure the accuracy and proper processing of receiving documentation and related records.

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with vendors, suppliers, and team members.

  • Maintain the highest ethical standards in all decision-making and ensure compliance with applicable company policies and procedures.

  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment for team members and a safe, welcoming environment for hotel guests.

  • Organize and maintain receiving and storage areas to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and proper product rotation.

  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with strong reading comprehension

  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury hospitality environment

  • Minimum of two (2) years of receiving experience in a hotel setting

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

  • Organized with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting invoices, general ledgers, correspondence, and other business documents

  • Able to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Effective verbal communication skills when interacting with vendors and team members

  • Proficient in the use of computers and calculators
