Job description

Job Summary:


This individual will be responsible for the accurate receiving of all incoming goods, including raw manufacturing materials, electrical components, serialized equipment, and office supplies. They will act as the first line of defense for quality and inventory accuracy, ensuring all items are correctly documented, inspected, and routed to the appropriate location.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred. However, a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience in warehouse receiving or inventory control.
  • Motivated and organized team player with a positive attitude.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (IFS experience is a major plus) and basic
    Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to operate various types of lifts. (Stand up, Walkie Rider, sit down, and pallet jacks)
  • High level of accuracy in data entry and a keen attention to detail for finding errors in complex packing slips.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain active on the shop floor for the duration of the shift.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verification & Inspection: Accurately count and inspect all incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders. Identify and document any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues.
  • Material Routing: Determine the immediate destination for items—deciding between stockroom placement or "hot" delivery to the production floor.
  • Safe Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of material handling
    equipment (sit-down, stand-up, and walkie-rider forklifts) to offload trucks and stack pallets in high-bay racking.
  • Data Integrity: Utilize the IFS (ERP) system to process receipts, track serialized equipment, and maintain real-time inventory accuracy.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all transactions; ensure all paperwork is filed or forwarded to the appropriate departments (Accounting/Purchasing).
  • Additional responsibilities and objectives may be assigned as business needs evolve.
    Working Conditions:
  • This position is on-site 5 days per week.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training or meetings.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate different business needs.
