Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role:

Role:

This is a Finance position responsible for performing cycle counts, compiling and maintaining records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked in the establishment and/or items to be returned.

Shift:

Tuesday to Saturday 6:00am to 2:30pm4

Compensation:

$50,000 - $55,000

Responsibilities

  • Ensures integrity of the physical count of the in-house inventory in accordance with FAMM.
  • Completes a minimum of four (4) cyclical counts per year; one full count per quarter.
  • Counts all pre-designated high dollar items, prepares research and reports these counts. Notifies proper personnel of problems that may occur when adjusting these items.
  • Researches receiving packets returned to Inventory Control from Accounts Payable. Prepares and reports to Inventory Control Manager any errors that may have occurred.
  • Reviews and adjusts all damage reports given to Inventory Control by Operations and compares those reports with actual damage in warehouse.
  • Researches and corrects possible shipping problems reported to Inventory Control.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations/laws and company policies
  • Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco's Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
  • Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco's Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
  • Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • 1-year warehouse, inventory control, merchandising experience or related experience, but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic PC Skills. Ability to work in a Microsoft Environment beneficial.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
