Purchasing Specialist
The Purchasing Specialist supports company’s rapidly growing purchasing activities. This newly created role is essential for our product development and global sourcing.   We are a small and busy team. Start up spirit is a must. This entry level position has great upward growth potential for the right candidate. 
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably from any business major.  
  • 0 to 3 years professional work experience.  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with absolute attention to details. 
  • Multitasking ability: “Can Do” attitude is crucial for this position.  
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are required. 
  • Comfortable learning new software and new technologies. 
  • Familiarity with import/export procedures is a plus. 
  • Experience with shipping, logistics, or purchasing is preferred. 
  • English / Chinese bilingual is a plus but not required. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase automotive product samples under the direction of product development team, both online orders and offline purchases from local stores.
  • Manage sample receiving process, including sample check in, locating correct part number, printing out labels, maintaining clear record.  
  • Manage and update purchasing information in the ERP system to ensure error-free buying activities and record keeping. 
  • Ship sample load overseas under the direction of global logistics team; creating shipping documents, contacting carriers, maintaining billing and payment records, and providing import / export custom support.  
  • Assit in the overseas vendor PO shipping as needed: selecting US carriers for ocean / air shipping, inputting shipping data and generating documents. 
  • Work with vendors on PO shipping follow ups. 
  • Create ongoing tracking reports under the direction of the management team. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
 Job Type/Location
  • This is a full-time, in-office position located in Irvine, CA.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the US.
