Inventory Control Clerk: Freeport, Illinois
Our customer in Freeport, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Inventory Control Clerks to work full-time on 1st shift. As an Inventory Control Clerk, you will be responsible for performing daily cycle counts, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting inventory accuracy across departments.
Responsibilities of the Inventory Control Clerk:
  • Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy throughout the facility.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile system quantities with physical stock.
  • Keep inventory areas organized, labeled, clean, and safe.
  • Locate, verify, and track inventory within the warehouse as needed.
  • Identify, document, and report damaged, expired, or unsellable product.
  • Investigate inventory variances and communicate findings to management.
  • Support purchasing and supply chain teams with inventory data and stock level updates.
  • Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and other departments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional inventory-related duties as assigned.
Inventory Control Clerk Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous inventory, warehouse, or cycle counting experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience working with inventory systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Pay for Inventory Control Clerk: $19.00/hour, depending on experience.
