American Pump Repair & Service, Inc. is looking for ambitious individuals who are ready to pursue an exciting and challenging new career.
About the Role:
The Service Technician will diagnose and correct pumping and electrical issues at lift stations and wastewater treatment plants, remove pumps and equipment for repair, remove and install electrical components, and repair a wide variety of equipment. If you are tired of doing the same boring job every day, the Service Technician position could be the opportunity you are looking for! Applicants from Northern Indiana may be considered as well!
Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and correct issues with water and wastewater equipment and systems.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments to complete tasks.
  • Use a crane truck to transport and lift pumps and equipment for removal and installation.
  • Train for and perform confined space entry work.
  • Repair pumps, motors, and other equipment in the workshop.
  • Thoroughly test new and repaired equipment and systems serviced.
  • Thoroughly document all aspects of work orders including APRS forms, test sheets, and pictures.
  • Work with Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and other Service Technicians to complete work orders in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Complete process for receiving materials, goods, and services timely and accurately.
  • Serve as on-call technician on a scheduled basis to handle after-hours service calls.
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude that prioritizes safety, quality, and customer service at all times.
  • Occasional out-of-state travel and overnight stays are required.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by management team to meet business objectives.
