Job description

Marathon Electric is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Supervisor to lead and support our Inside Sales team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, improving processes, solving customer challenges, and helping a team deliver an exceptional customer experience. The Inside Sales Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day performance of assigned team members while working closely with the Inside Sales Manager and other departments across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of people leadership, customer service, sales experience, problem-solving skills, and continuous improvement mindset.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop members of the Inside Sales team
  • Manage team performance, workload, priorities, and sales goals
  • Provide ongoing feedback, mentoring, and performance support
  • Help interview, hire, onboard, and train new team members
  • Maintain a strong team focus on customer service and responsiveness
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and eliminate non-value-added activities
  • Develop and implement tools, training, and standardized processes that improve team effectiveness
  • Partner with supervisors and managers across departments to strengthen communication and support both internal and external customers
  • Participate in department-level improvement initiatives and special projects
  • Remain actively involved in inside sales activities, including customer calls, quotations, pricing, ship dates, and order-related questions
  • Address employee concerns, resolve problems, and support a positive and accountable team environment
  • Keep the Inside Sales Manager informed of team performance, operations, and emerging needs
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, or a related environment
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, team lead, or people-management experience
  • Strong understanding of sales and customer service principles
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze situations, take initiative, and recommend solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Professional phone and customer communication skills
  • Technical aptitude, particularly within electrical or mechanical products, is beneficial
  • Finance-related experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree or equivalent relevant education/experience preferred
