Job description

Responsibilities

As a Water / Wastewater Engineering Associate, you will apply general civil and environmental engineering design principles on a variety of public and private water / wastewater projects. Projects will include treatment facility planning and design, raw water intakes, water distribution lines, booster pump station design, regional water planning, water system mapping and management plans, lift station design, sanitary sewer system planning and design, asset management planning, and a variety of permitting. Typical project responsibilities will include basic engineering computations, design, layout, modeling, CAD, and engineering report writing. You will also assist in the preparation of design drawings, plans, specifications, supporting documents, permit applications, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, quantity estimates, and construction cost estimates. You may attend client meetings and visit construction sites to assist in monitoring progress.

Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field and two years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant water / wastewater experience, internship, co-op, or research experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS a plus.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license.
