Job description

Position Overview

The Account Executive is responsible for driving profitable growth across assigned accounts and channels. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, proactive prospecting, and the ability to create and execute strategic sales plans. The Account Executive will work closely with leadership to identify opportunities, expand market presence, and meet or exceed sales targets.


Core Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across multiple channels of distribution.
  • Engage regularly with electrical contractors, electrical specifiers, architects, distributors, and other industry partners.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Account Management & Sales Execution

  • Develop and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with key accounts.
  • Understand customer needs and align product solutions accordingly.
  • Work with management to create, refine, and execute sales plans by channel and by account.
  • Track performance and take corrective action as needed to meet sales goals.
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations, updates, and training as required.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, account status, and market trends.
  • Communicate proactively with leadership regarding challenges, opportunities, and resource needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Oasis


Experience & Skills Expectations

  • Proven record of success in sales or account management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently as a self-starter.
  • A 4-year degree is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with the electrical industry is a plus but not required (if new, must demonstrate willingness to learn quickly).
