Job Title: MIG Pulse Welder / Welding Technician 2
Job Description
This role focuses on MIG pulse welding and fabrication in a dynamic metal stamping job shop environment. You will read and interpret blueprints, select and fit parts, and perform high-quality welds using primarily MIG, with opportunities to work with robotic and TIG welding as needed. This is a hands-on position on a 1st shift schedule, offering the chance to develop your skills, take on varied jobs, and grow within a company that invests in training, schooling, and certifications.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, including MIG pulse welding, in a production or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layout documents accurately.
- Experience with layout and fitting of metal parts prior to welding.
- Basic fabrication skills, including preparing, positioning, and securing parts for welding.
- Skill in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Capability to perform TIG welding or willingness to learn TIG welding as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address fit-up, weld quality, and production challenges.
- Ability to work independently after training and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
- Comfort working in a loud manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
- Positive, "can-do" attitude and willingness to take on multiple duties.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.75 - $25.00/hr.
