Pulse Mig Jobs (NOW HIRING)

• Read and interpret ship specifications, work orders, blueprints, and fabrication drawings.
• Fit, form, fabricate, and weld aluminum components on marine vessels.
• Perform MIG welding on aluminum materials in various positions.
• Use burning equipment and scarfing tips for beveling and material preparation.
• Conduct carbon arc gouging for weld preparation and cleanup.
• Perform SMAW and FCAW welding as required.
• Maintain quality standards and meet X-ray inspection requirements.

• Previous aluminum welding experience in a shipyard, fabrication, or industrial environment.
• Proficiency with MIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to pass a weld test and X-ray inspection.
• Experience welding in multiple positions.

Candidates should be prepared to complete the following weld test:

• Three 3/8" aluminum groove weld coupons welded in the 2G, 3G, and 4G positions.
• Welding performed using MIG (GMAW) with 3/64" aluminum wire.
• Testing conducted on Miller and Lincoln welding machines.
• Additional 2G, 3G, and 4G fillet weld tests.
• Welds must pass visual inspection and X-ray testing.

• Pulse MIG welding experience.
• TIG welding experience.
• Flux-core welding experience.
• Previous shipyard or marine industry experience.

• Work on major maritime and military vessel projects, including the USS Savannah.
• $120/day per diem available for qualified travelers living 75+ miles from Vancouver, WA.
• Day and swing shift opportunities available.
• Consistent overtime available.
• Potential for long-term work beyond current projects.

• Primarily outdoor work on ships, with occasional shop work.
• Day Shift: Starts at 4:00 AM.
• Swing Shift: Starts at 2:00 PM.
• 10-12 hour shifts.
• 5-6 days per week.
• Significant overtime opportunities available.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
