Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion safety leadership, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; hold employees and contractors accountable for safe work practices.
  • Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for pulp mill systems, including fiber line equipment, digesters, washers, recaust, lime kiln, stock prep, and supporting utilities.
  • Drive process reliability improvements to reduce downtime, improve asset performance, and support production goals.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Reliability, and Maintenance Planning to coordinate work execution and minimize operational impacts.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of CMMS/SAP workflows, preventive maintenance programs, inventory management, and maintenance best practices.
  • Lead and support change initiatives aligned with High Performance Work Systems and mill objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Including 3-5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in pulp & paper, heavy manufacturing, or unionized environments.
  • Leadership & Change Management: Demonstrated ability to lead teams through operational change, process improvements, and high-demand production periods. Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and team development.
