Copywriter

cabi, LLC

Long Beach, CA

Full-time

Posted 4 days ago

Job description

At Cabi, we're redefining what it means to build a fashion brand, one rooted in connection, confidence, and purpose. As a women's retail clothing company, we don't just design beautiful apparel; we create opportunities for women to express themselves, build community, and thrive both personally and professionally. Our culture is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and deeply people-first, where every team member plays a role in shaping meaningful experiences for our Stylists and clients. If you're energized by creativity, inspired by empowering others, and excited to contribute to a brand that blends style with substance, you'll find a home here.

The Copywriter owns on-brand copy across all of cabi's marketing assets — email, site, social, print, and seasonal campaign materials. This role writes, edits, and proofs its own work from first draft through final delivery, ensuring every piece reflects cabi's brand voice while partnering closely with Creative and Marketing to hit deadlines across concurrent projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write and edit on-brand copy for all marketing assets, including email, site/digital, social, print collateral, and seasonal campaign materials.
  • Own proofing of your own work, ensuring copy is accurate, on-brand, and error-free before it moves downstream to design, production, or publishing.
  • Maintain and champion cabi's brand voice and tone across every channel, adapting style appropriately for print, digital, and social while staying consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Work directly in Figma alongside Creative and Design to write, review, and refine copy within layouts and templates.
  • Manage copy requests, drafts, revisions, and approvals through Asana, keeping timelines and statuses visible to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Art Direction, Design, Social, and Marketing to ensure copy supports the broader creative concept and campaign strategy.
  • Meet deadlines and due dates across multiple concurrent projects, flagging timeline risks early to the appropriate manager.
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 2-4 years of copywriting experience, ideally in a fashion, lifestyle, or creative marketing environment. Proven ability to write across print, digital, and social while maintaining a consistent brand voice. Strong self-editing and proofreading skills with high attention to detail. Proficiency in Figma and Asana (or similar project management tools) required. Effective time management with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.

The hiring range for this role is $80k - $90k plus bonus and benefits.

Joining Cabi means more than stepping into a role, it's stepping into a mission. We're passionate about lifting women up, supporting growth, and celebrating individuality in everything we do. As you explore this opportunity, imagine the impact you could make as part of a company that values innovation, authenticity, and connection at every level. If you're ready to bring your talents to a team that's as driven as it is supportive, we'd love to see what you can do with us.
