Job description

ProofreaderInnoVision Marketing Group

San Diego, CA | Mandatory In-Office

At InnoVision Marketing Group, proudly known as The Anti-Agency™, details matter. A single typo, formatting issue, or missed inconsistency can impact how a brand is perceived. We are looking for a Proofreader who understands that precision is not a small thing. It is part of the standard.

This role is responsible for reviewing and quality-checking a wide range of materials across digital, print, broadcast, social media, presentations, websites, proposals, and client communications. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and takes genuine pride in catching the things others miss.

This is a critical role within the organization. The Proofreader serves as one of the final layers of quality control before work leaves the building.

What You’ll Do

As a Proofreader, you will work closely with creative, account service, media, digital, PR, and production teams to ensure all deliverables are accurate, polished, and client-ready.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Proofreading and qualitychecking creative materials across print, digital, broadcast, social, presentations, websites, and internal communications
  • Reviewing spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, formatting, consistency, and brand standards
  • Ensuring accuracy of phone numbers, URLs, disclaimers, legal copy, dates, pricing, and callstoaction
  • Verifying consistency in tone, messaging, capitalization, spacing, and style usage
  • Reviewing layouts and visual executions for alignment between copy and design
  • Checking revisions carefully to ensure requested edits were completed correctly
  • Supporting quality assurance processes before materials are released or published
  • Communicating corrections clearly and professionally with internal teams
  • Maintaining awareness of clientspecific preferences, standards, and style guidelines
  • Assisting with final review of presentations, proposals, and important outbound communications
  • This role requires someone who can stay focused, methodical, and highly accurate in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and moving parts.

What Makes a Great Team Member at InnoVision Marketing Group

  • Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and language mechanics
  • Patience and consistency in repetitive review work
  • Accountability and followthrough
  • Calm focus under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Professional communication skills
  • Strong organizational habits
  • Pride in accuracy and quality control
  • Teamfirst mentality
  • High integrity and discretion
  • This person must genuinely care about getting things right.

    Experience & Skills
  • Prior proofreading, copyediting, quality control, or related experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and AP style principles
  • Ability to review both longform and shortform content accurately
  • Comfort reviewing materials across multiple formats and platforms
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PDFs, presentation decks, websites, and digital content environments
  • Experience with AirTable management software is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadlinedriven environment
  • Agency, publishing, media, or marketing experience is a plus
  • Work Expectations
  • Fulltime, mandatory inoffice role
  • Ability to manage multiple reviews and deadlines simultaneously
  • Occasional extended hours may be required during highvolume periods
  • Growth Opportunity

For individuals who demonstrate exceptional consistency, ownership, and operational strength, this role offers opportunity for expanded responsibility within quality assurance, content review, and cross-department workflow support as InnoVision Marketing Group continues to grow.

    Why InnoVision Marketing Group

At InnoVision Marketing Group, precision matters because details shape perception. We believe extraordinary work requires extraordinary attention to detail at every level.

If you take pride in accuracy, notice the things others overlook, and want to be part of a team that holds itself to a high standard, we want to meet you.
