The Sr. Operations Manager leads inbound, outbound, warehouse, and transportation operations to ensure efficient execution of receiving, staging, storing, inventory control, packing, and loading, while supporting overall business needs in shipping, safety, and employee well-being. This role is responsible for creating and publishing reports on shipment activity and key distribution center KPIs, providing visibility that supports operational performance and informed decision-making. The position identifies and develops an organizational structure that aligns business objectives and drives operational consistency. Additionally, the Sr. Operations Manager partners with the management team to support training initiatives, succession planning, and the ongoing development of staff.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Production Planning and is based out of our Olathe office.
As the Sr Operation Manager you will have an opportunity to:
  • Manage operational personnel supporting production and shipping operations.
  • Provide leadership, work direction, and supervision to the distribution team.
  • Provide training, coaching and discipline to team members as necessary.
  • Measure and publish KPI's for production weekly.
  • Create, update and maintain SOP's for production and outbound shipping.
  • Support continuous improvement for production, accuracy in shipments, and training.
  • Support the production team, receiving team and overall operations of the Distribution Center.
  • Understand the functional aspects and data management tools of BOSS Warehouse Management System necessary to operate at all levels within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure all work is done to O.S.H.A. safety standards.
  • Prepare operations schedules and assign employees to specific duties.
  • Run multiple departments with adherence to written standard operating procedures.
  • Perform audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
  • Responsible for improving processes, reducing costs and monitoring quality improvements.
  • Promote a team environment.
  • Ensures that their staff enforces Company Policies and Procedures including facility wide safety rules and employee rules of conduct.
  • Hold all employees accountable to operate with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Attend all required production operational meetings.

You have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Management related field and / or 5-7 years equivalent on the job experience.
  • Supervisory experience required (3-5 years).
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office applications required.
  • Ability to interact with variety of personnel in a lead role.
  • Ability to organize, coordinate and direct the department's efforts.
  • Ability to self-motivate and self-manage.
  • Excellent oral and written and effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and math skills.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $112,000.00 - $112,000.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
