What you will be doing
The Sr. Manager: Corporate Safety, and Compliance, reporting to the Director Compliance and Analytics, is responsible for the development, review, and maintenance, of the accident prevention, regulatory compliance programs, and associated tools and resources for a purpose-directed safety management program across Corporate Retail and Supply Chain.
The position will be based in Boise, Idaho and Pleasanton, CA.
Main responsibilities:
  • Designs, develops and implements ACIs Safety policies, programs, processes, systems and governance that ensure safety compliance, continuous improvement, and increased performance.
  • Participates and leads in cross-functional team in the development of safety programs.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and provides regulatory assistance, technical support and training to all levels within the organization.
  • Routinely reviews technical programs for effectiveness and compliance to regulatory requirements.
  • Drive safety as a core value and results to an operational level.
  • Demonstrates depth and breadth of knowledge in hazard recognition, evaluation and control, and serves as safety subject matter expert.
  • Effective technical writing skills with the ability to interpret federal and state OSHA regulations, National Consensus Standards and apply them in ACIs safety management system appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the business and various levels of management to write, publish, and maintain policies, procedures, and related materials.
  • Develop and maintain a central and organized repository of all safety policies, programs, and supporting tools and resources for effective and sustainable implementation.
  • Communicate regulatory, policy, and program changes or releases through excellent and clear verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to translate highly technical information into well-understood guidelines, expectations, programs, and governance.
  • Critical approach to unifying common programs and approaches for compliance and understanding, knowing that "one-size does not always fit all."

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
  • Proven understanding of safety compliance and the ability to understand the operational impact when developing content.
  • Excellent collaboration skills in being a subject matter expert and working with subject matter experts throughout the organization.
  • Knowledgeable of learning and development practices with ability to create large scale company-wide policies and programs.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Advanced technical writing skills to create and maintain policies, procedures and documents. Must be able to convert regulatory text into succinct programs, policies, procedures and other useful tools and resources.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess knowledge of content management systems and technical writing best practices.
  • Professional safety certification such as CSP or ASP preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, project and change management skills.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience supporting multiple operations across multiple geographies.
  • Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience, direct or indirect.
  • Minimal travel required to sites throughout United States to support compliance.
