Account Executive, Publicity
Location: Orlando (Hybrid)
Allied Global Marketing is hiring an Account Executive to join our Publicity team, supporting clients across the travel, hospitality, entertainment, B2B, and lifestyle industries.
The Account Executive will support assigned accounts from research and ideation through execution, media relations, reporting, and analysis. This role requires excellent communication, strong media relationships, organization, creative thinking, and the ability to translate client goals into effective earned media activity.
The Account Executive will serve as a reliable day-to-day client contact, own key deliverables and timelines, develop compelling media materials, identify story opportunities, secure meaningful coverage, and contribute to campaign strategy while continuing to strengthen independent judgment and account management skills.
At Allied Global Marketing, we embrace the thoughtful and responsible use of generative AI to enhance creativity, strategic thinking, and efficiency. Team members are expected to use in-house AI tools for research, brainstorming, writing, media analysis, reporting, presentations, and workflow optimization while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, sound judgment, and strong client service.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Anticipate client needs and proactively bring forward solutions-oriented recommendations
  • Contribute to long-term planning, campaign development, communications plans, and timelines
  • Own assigned deliverables, deadlines, and account responsibilities, escalating risks when appropriate
  • Draft client-facing and media-facing materials accurately and with minimal revisions
  • Represent Allied and clients professionally during meetings, events, interviews, photoshoots, and influencer activations

Media Relations / Campaign Execution
  • Consistently pitch and secure meaningful earned media placements with local, regional, and national outlets
  • Identify creative, timely story angles aligned with client objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, producers, editors, creators, and influencers across relevant markets
  • Proactively build media relationships through introductions, desksides, meetings, events, and ongoing communication
  • Lead media outreach with tailored, compelling pitches relevant to each journalist and outlet
  • Maintain a strong understanding of client messaging and apply it consistently across outreach and media interactions
  • Monitor media trends, editorial priorities, cultural moments, and journalist workflows, adjusting outreach as needed
  • Understand the media landscape across traditional press, digital publications, newsletters, podcasts, broadcast, social platforms, and influencer-driven media
  • Staff press and influencer opportunities and support events, interviews, photoshoots, and on-site client needs as assigned

Writing / Content Development
  • Draft clear, compelling press releases, media alerts, pitches, news bites, trend pitches, briefing documents, run of shows, talking points, and other communications materials
  • Apply AP Style consistently and demonstrate strong journalistic instincts
  • Adapt writing style and tone to different client brands, audiences, outlets, and objectives
  • Develop customized pitches for specific journalists and outlets rather than generic outreach
  • Bring creative thinking and culturally relevant ideas to brainstorms and campaign development
  • Use AI tools to support ideation, research, drafting, and editing while fact checking outputs, protecting confidential information, and applying human review

Research / Reporting / Analysis
  • Deliver timely, accurate, strategic client reports with minimal revisions
  • Track earned coverage and translate results into clear recaps that demonstrate value and progress against client goals
  • Provide proactive media roundups highlighting relevant news, insights, trends, and opportunities
  • Conduct competitive analysis and research that supports campaign planning, media strategy, and client recommendations
  • Identify industry shifts, cultural trends, competitive activity, and media opportunities that can inform strategy
  • Use AI tools to strengthen research, media analysis, reporting, and workflow efficiency while validating sources, accuracy, and context

Organization / Team Collaboration
  • Manage multiple accounts, projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Maintain accurate timelines, trackers, media lists, coverage documentation, meeting notes, and account records
  • Demonstrate strong time management, proactive communication, and follow-through
  • Collaborate effectively with senior team members, peers, junior staff, and cross-functional agency partners
  • Support junior team members in developing media outreach, clip recapping, organization, and task execution skills
  • Identify workflow obstacles early, communicate workload needs, and help keep teams aligned on priorities
  • Remain open to constructive coaching and apply feedback to improve performance and professional growth

Agency / Professional Development
  • Build trust with clients, Allied leadership, colleagues, media, influencers, and business associates through sound judgment, strong writing, responsiveness, and professional communication
  • Maintain professional conduct in all business and social situations, including a responsible social media presence
  • Continue developing communication, leadership, creative thinking, strategic thinking, analytical, and independent problem-solving skills
  • Stay informed about media, culture, technology, client industries, business trends, and the broader marketing landscape
  • Practice honesty, integrity, and transparency with colleagues, media, influencers, clients, and business associates
  • Collaborate with leadership on workload planning, evaluations, goal setting, and professional development

  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including strong knowledge of AP Style
  • Strong journalistic instincts and the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences
  • Strong understanding of the evolving media landscape across traditional press, digital, social, creators, and influencer-driven media
