Job Description
Publicis Sport, the sports marketing division within Publicis Media, is searching for a Vice President in New York, NY. This position requires a highly motivated and entrepreneurial-minded person to lead the oversight of the team, and management of client relationships as well as liaise with sports properties and media partnerships. The role includes both account management, as well as prospecting new business and new lines of business opportunities
Responsibilities
  • Account leadership on multiple accounts within Publicis
  • Lead analysis and understanding of client business strategies and objectives, and utilize that understanding to identify, develop and deliver high-value marketing recommendations and executions
  • Provide clients with end to end strategic thought leadership across the full sports and entertainment marketing landscape
  • Motivate and manage a team in the creation, development and execution of strategies, solutions, tactics and programs
  • Facilitate team building through collaborative management style, open communication and focused project management
  • Participate in sports strategy work sessions and discussions
  • Build, maintain and grow client relationships at all levels
  • Build, maintain and grow relationships with rights holders and media owners and internal agency counterparts
  • Play active role in major agency new business pitches
  • Maintain superior knowledge of the dynamic marketplace/client needs in order to react quickly to identify unique opportunities for revenue growth
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills with the ability to influence senior-level decision makers, internal and external, in order to reach goals and objectives

Qualifications
  • Minimum 12+ years Sports Marketing experience
  • Strong senior-level industry relationships
  • Experience in an agency environment
  • History of success in supporting new business acquisitions.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
  • Must be a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and results.
  • Significant experience in a service, delivery and/or customer focused organization.
  • Core competencies include:, Sports media knowledge, sports marketing strategy, sport media relationships and media buying/planning experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and deliver on ideas and activation plans rooted in client business strategies and objectives
  • Possess significant (industry, property) marketing partnership/sponsorship experience, ideally within an agency setting and excel at handling expectations with multiple partners
  • Excellent Project Management skills, managing across several workstreams to connect all of the dots
  • Strong presentation development (PowerPoint) and Excel skills a must
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Confident and comfortable presenting to senior clients and partners
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • Must be a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to lead and interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and results
  • Existing relationships with sport properties and media members

Compensation Range: USD $159,695.00 - USD $255,645.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
