Overview

You will be a part of a best-in-class commerce experience practice, pulling from the leading minds within Publicis Groupe's media agencies (Publicis Media, Spark, Starcom, and Performics). 

This role will be critical in building distinct and industry-defining commerce media strategies at Arc while leveraging the tools and knowledge across Publicis Groupe. You will work cross-functionally with Arc's business leadership, strategy, creative/content, data/technology, and analytics teams to create commerce media solutions for major retail environments and omnichannel commerce ecosystems. 

The ideal candidate understands how to navigate the dynamic and rapidly evolving commerce media landscape. You are a versatile media expert who specializes in building and advising on retail media strategies across search, onsite media, DSPs, and national media integration. 

Utilizing your deep knowledge and experience across retail ecosystems, you will be responsible for integrating the appropriate media vehicles to deliver holistic marketing strategies that drive business outcomes including share growth, household penetration, and ROI. 

The ideal candidate also has experience communicating with and presenting to executive-level stakeholders on a regular basis. You are able to conduct meetings and presentations, collaborate on marketing strategies, and influence cross-functional teams and partners. 

The role demands a passion for educating internal teams on retail media capabilities and developing strategies that bring broad-reaching awareness channels and conversion-driving tactics into harmony while considering factors such as frequency, creative strategy, and consumer experience. The ideal candidate wants to lead and foster a collaborative and inclusive environment for all cross-functional teams. 

Responsibilities

Lead media strategies & budget forecasting and tacticals

 
  • Lead the development of insight-backed media strategies and tactical plans for consumer packaged goods (CPG) and retail-focused clients. 
  • Build client yearly budget breakout/forecast by category and brand
  • Lead annual planning and insights
  • RFP and manage all 3rd party vendors (manage service buys)

Connections Planning / Commerce path development

  • Work with media agency partners to develop strategies that integrate national media and commerce media for moments that matter across the year
  • Have an understanding of Roundel's capabilities to track data that will help inform strategies on how to grow HHP, drive sales and new to brand

Data and Reporting

  • Work within Arc's existing tools to derive insights-backed plans for all commerce media campaigns across multiple retail channels. 
  • Use data and post campaign reporting to plan
  • Construct Quarterly and post campaign reporting

Collaboration with Media Agency

  • Work with client's hands on key media agency to collaborate on strategies, tacticals and reporting 
  • Create an IAT environment that pushes strategic thought across audiences, channels, placements, etc.

Coach, partner and mentor

  • Advise & partner with your Arc CX team and Arc's Business Leadership
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and mentoring to clients, commerce media team, creative team and national/brand commerce team

Commerce Media Leadership

  • Keep up to date with, and vet, emerging platforms and innovation trends specific to retail media platforms, technologies, industry regulations and regularly share new opportunities with our clients and agency. Creating thought leadership pieces and POVs
  • Develop and publish POVs internally and for our clients on the value of different media vehicles (strengths and weaknesses) at the retail level
  • Partner with the other Commerce Media team to share learnings and best practices
  • Work closely with the Arc Business Leadership team to support and develop best-in-class delivery of campaign reporting, insights and recaps
Qualifications

You're both a builder and connector by nature who thrives in a collaborative environment with an eye to problem-solving. You have an inviting personality that can effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences. You are passionate about the business & media and constantly looking for ways to innovate to improve and drive growth. A confident communicator who can break down complex data, details, and activation nuances for the internal teams and our clients. You have a proven track record of developing integrated strategies and plans which have resulted in incremental growth for your clients.

  • Experience & expertise doing retail strategy, tactical planning and partner management in the discipline of retail/shopper marketing, within an agency, retailer's media organization or CPG's trade or customer marketing department; 10+ years preferred, but not required
    • If no experience, willing to self learn, dig in from day 1 and seek answers through asking questions
    • Preferred buy not required: experience & expertise in retail media channels
  • Current knowledge of Shopper Marketing (digital & traditional) 
  • Clear understanding of first, second, and third-party data and how to apply it within the commerce strategies; specifically, how to integrate key insights from an audience strategy into addressable media plans within a holistic integrated ecosystem
  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or related media field preferred
  • Strategic thinker in the development of commerce media strategy and management of day-to-day business
  • Adept at analyzing results, synthesizing data, drawing out insights & implications, and developing insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Sound decision-making skills based in agency, client, and industry knowledge
  • Leadership experience both in direct reports and cross team leadership

 Compensation Range: USD $129,485.00 - USD $186,060.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
