Job description

Halff has an immediate opening in our Jacksonville office for a Senior Professional Civil Engineer with approximately 10 or more years of experience in serving on Public Works Civil Engineering Design and infrastructure projects. This position requires strong client communication skills, solid background in public sector infrastructure design projects, and skilled in project management of consultant design projects.

What you will do:
  • Further develop and mentor members of the Site Development/Public Works Team
  • Project performance (production, profitability, quality, staffing, etc.)
  • Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout North Florida including private clients and multiple Cities and Counties
  • Identify business opportunities and lead successful pursuits
  • Directly manage projects and oversee production staff on various and multiple projects
  • Work closely with other Halff leaders and manage resources to successfully workshare across the company on multiple projects

Candidates must have:
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License - Civil
  • Project Management experience with proven ability to lead projects that are on schedule, on budget, and high quality
  • Proven business development and client management experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A servant leader with positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
  • Proven ability to be a Lead Designer on infrastructure (Roadway, trails, drainage, water / sewer, or land development) projects.
