Public Relations Senior Account Executive – F&B, Consumer, Wellness Lifestyle
LOCATION: We have 1 PR SAE job opening in our RKPR Dept. at FINN Partners, and it will be managed either from our NY, NY Office or from our San Diego CA Office.  This ad is for the job that is managed from the NY, NY Office – the work schedule is 4 days work from home + 1 day work onsite in the NY, NY Office so we seek current metro NYC area qualified applicants.
We are looking for an outstanding PR pro who is currently either a PR AE or PR SAE with 4-5 years of public relations agency-based client account work experience with food/beverage, wellness lifestyle, home appliances, wearable personal technology, and consumer lifestyle clients.
RKPR is a public relations department within FINN Partners specializing in public relations and social/digital campaigns for consumer products and services, with an exciting client roster of premier national brands in the food & beverage, health & wellness, consumer wearable personal technology, home appliances, and lifestyle spaces.  This role reports to the Account Supervisor and Partner.  The Public Relations Sr. Account Executives in our team have professional hunger and hustle - they focus on daily PR client account management and client relations, developing and executing impactful communications strategies, delivering outstanding measurable results in earned and social media, influencer management, thought leadership, and content creation.  This role requires excellent strategic thinking, writing skills, editing skills, media relations savvy, client relations skills, knowledge of social media, and a passion for clients in the better-for-you food/beverage, and wellness consumer sector.  We bring creativity, positive energy, and humor as we work hard, have fun, and grow our careers within this award-winning, strategic, expanding, global PR agency!  As our CEO Peter Finn says, "We work hard- play nice!".  What are our core values?  Hard work, kindness, inclusion, creativity, and dedication to our amazing clients.  Come join us! 
Responsibilities:

  • Execute public relations campaigns achieving client goals and driving business results.
  • Work with department PR leadership team to support the management of multiple concurrent public relations account teams and programs.  Support the implementation of core PR campaigns - planning, media strategy/pitching, event management, social media, industry analyst relations, content writing/editing, research, and account administration.
  • Participate in the development and execution of creative, strategic client public relations programs and campaigns, including budget and KPI tracking. Contribute to the development of innovative PR pitch ideas/event concepts.
  • Draft content, including client-ready documents, strategies, and other communication, including pitches, bylined articles, blogs, bios, press materials, and meeting reports.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communications; provide smart direction and counsel; and offer problem-solving solutions to clients.  
  • Execute the department’s communications media and influencer strategy for our clients.
  • Maintain high level client, media, and influencer relationships.
  • Utilize strong pitch skills and excellent contacts to secure consistent media coverage for clients; be able to build a media list and fill a room.
  • Maintain state of the art knowledge of your clients’ industries and the media landscape; establish new media and influencer contacts across multi channels.
  • Participate in the department’s thought leadership, content creation, social media management initiatives.
  • Research data to prepare the department leadership for new business presentations and pitches. Participate as needed, in development of RFPs that showcase our unique capabilities and proven results.
  • Lead and career develop PR account team members as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 4-5 years of prior public relations agency experience executing communications programs and campaigns for consumer industry clients.
  • Bachelor's degree required (PR, Communications, Marketing preferred). 
  • Proven history of driving results via earned owned and shared media channels.
  • Experienced in earned media relations successful programs with top-tier national and trade outlets.  Proven history of media placements and established contacts.
  • Experienced in crafting compelling messages that drive business goals and elevate client programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously meeting all deadlines and budget parameters utilizing strong communications skills, project management capabilities and proven problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills (familiar with AP style); Generates grammatically sound, client-ready communication as a skilled writer and editor.
  • Utilizes enthusiastic big-picture thinking; course-corrects and pivots when needed to achieve effective and decisive action.
  • Advises and drives results that effectively meet internal and external needs and exceed client expectations.  Provides counsel to leadership and clients, even when it might be uncomfortable.
  • Effectively works as part of a team, shares information freely and supports the common goals of the department.  Is a true team player.
