Job description

Prime Video is seeking an experienced Senior Policy Manager to lead the strategy and implementation of global content policies across all Prime Video content, including video-on-demand and live streaming. In this critical role, you will develop and maintain comprehensive policies that protect customers and safeguard the Prime Video brand while supporting the company's mission to be Earth's largest entertainment store.
As a Senior Policy Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Operations, Business leaders, Legal, Public Relations, and Public Policy teams on high-visibility escalations and complex policy matters. You will act as a primary stakeholder for Product and Tech teams, providing strategic guidance as they launch new features and develop risk management tools for the Prime Video catalog

Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that new initiatives align with policy frameworks and regulatory requirements.
You will set the strategic direction for supporting Prime Video's growth through robust, consistent, and scalable policies. Working closely with fellow policy managers and Amazon-wide stakeholders, you will calibrate new policies, prioritize initiatives, and ensure delivery against senior leadership goals. This role requires balancing customer trust, brand protection, and business growth in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include developing and revising policy guidelines for all Prime Video content to build a trustworthy customer experience, authoring standard operating procedures for operations teams, and leading policy calibration discussions with Legal, Public Policy, and Public Relations

You will conduct benchmarking and academic research to develop risk assessment frameworks, advise Business Managers on new content acquisitions through comprehensive risk assessments, and serve as both an owner and advisor on high-risk escalations. Additionally, you will act as a subject matter expert for product teams, providing business requirements to build internal analytical and moderation tools that scale with Prime Video's global operations.
This position offers the opportunity to shape content policy at one of the world's leading entertainment platforms, working at the intersection of policy, technology, and customer experience.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop or revise policy guidelines for all content on PV to build a trustworthy customer experience

Author policy guidelines for operators and automated mechanisms
3. Develop maturity ratings and content descriptor policies and guidelines inline with industry standards and business requirements
4. Lead discussions on policy calibrations by collaborating with Program, Legal, Business, Public Policy and Public Relations

Conduct benchmarking and academic research to develop risk assessment frameworks
6. Advise Business Managers on new content acquisitions by conducting risk assessments of new acquisitions
7. Serve as an owner and advisor on high-risk escalations

Serve as a Trust & Safety subject matter expert for product teams and provide business requirements to build internal analytical and moderation tools

You start your morning reviewing overnight escalations from global operations, triaging high-risk content across Prime Video's catalog. You lead cross-regional discussions with Legal and Public Relations to calibrate new policy guidelines, balancing customer protection with creative expression. Mid-day, you conduct risk assessments for major content acquisitions, advising Business Managers on brand and regulatory considerations.

You manage high-visibility escalations requiring immediate decisions while keeping senior leadership informed. In the afternoon, you partner with Product and Tech teams as a subject matter expert, providing business requirements for new moderation tools. Throughout the day, you balance strategic policy development with tactical execution, shaping the framework that protects millions of Prime Video customers worldwide.
