Job description

Your job may be one of the most important roles, because your efforts "wow" every person who enters the hotel! You take great pride in floors that sparkle, restrooms that gleam, and everything in place. Happiest in motion with a watchful eye, you welcome the brisk routine that carries you through the property, cleaning and polishing.
As the Public Area Attendant you will:
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Maintain and clean all public areas and employee work areas. Including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing floors and furniture throughout the property.
  • Empty trash in all public areas and clean public area restrooms.
  • Clean all mirrors, inside of windows, wipe and dust all surfaces; keeping all brass and stainless steel shiny.
  • Replenish supplies in the appropriate public areas.
  • Notify Engineering or management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilation equipment.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies.

Qualifications for this role include but are not limited to:
  • Previous housekeeping experience an plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to:
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shif.t
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
