Overview:We are seeking a Senior Public Health SME - Violence Prevention to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities:Performs and provides expert consultation on contracted subject matter.Assist with literature reviews and developing manuscripts.Assesses the organization's current state and proposal for a future state.Facilitate implementation of appropriate change management initiatives.Supports program in producing high-quality deliverables in time efficient manner.Supports strategy implementation and management of support services in a specified field.Provides expert analysis for development of specified field strategy and management of support services.Creates structure for range of support to carry out smaller components of projects.Coordinates multi-faceted program area. Develop integrated subject matter product and service strategy.Lends support in building and sustaining successful cross-team structure capable of providing range of subject matter support services.Provides oversight for multiple client engagements by managing several multi-faceted programs and creating an overarching vision.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications:Master's degree or higher in public health, epidemiology, behavioral or social sciences, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in public health, with demonstrated expertise in violence prevention, injury prevention, or a closely related field.Demonstrated experience working with or supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), other federal health agencies, or related public health organizations.In-depth knowledge of violence prevention principles, evidence-based strategies, risk and protective factors, and public health approaches to preventing violence.Experience supporting the development, implementation, evaluation, or improvement of violence prevention programs, policies, or initiatives.Experience conducting literature reviews, synthesizing research and data, and contributing to technical reports, manuscripts, recommendations, or other public health products.Demonstrated experience providing technical consultation and guidance to clients, stakeholders, or multidisciplinary teams.Experience managing or providing technical oversight for multiple projects, workstreams, or client engagements.Strong written, verbal, analytical, and facilitation skills, including the ability to communicate complex public health information to diverse audiences.Applicable professional license, certification, or other credential, if required for the assigned area of expertise.Requires licensing or credentials applicable to assigned subject matter expertise and documented experience working in at/with CDC, federal or related public health entities.Physical Requirements:The physical requirements, workplace hazards and conditions, and PPE and chemical requirements described here are representative of those that a candidate must meet to perform the essential functions of this job.
