Job description

Summary:

Engineering Program Manager – Manufacturing Execution System (MES) will lead the planning, governance, and execution of MES initiatives supporting manufacturing operations at the Ponce manufacturing site. The role is responsible for ensuring successful implementation and sustainability of the global MES template while aligning with business priorities, operational readiness, and enterprise standards.

Program Leadership
  • Provide overall leadership and governance for MES initiatives, defining program objectives, success metrics, and escalation pathways.
  • Establish program cadence, reporting structures, and stakeholder communication plans.
Project Planning and Execution
  • Lead the planning and execution of MES initiatives from project initiation through deployment, go‑live, and stabilization.
  • Manage integrated schedules, cross‑functional dependencies, risks, and deliverables across multiple teams.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Act as the primary liaison between project teams, site leadership, IT, manufacturing operations, quality, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
Financial and Resource Management
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Oversee vendor performance and ensure effective allocation of internal project resources.
Risk, Change, and Compliance Management
  • Lead risk identification, issue resolution, and change management activities.
  • Ensure adherence to PMO governance, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Operational Readiness and Adoption
  • Support training, site readiness, and change management activities to ensure smooth system adoption.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to production operations during MES implementation.
Program Scope

Key initiatives include:

  • Deployment of the Critical Manufacturing MES platform
  • Transition from paper‑based manufacturing records to electronic Device History Records (eDHR)
  • Integration between MES and enterprise systems including:
    • BPCS ERP
    • SAP
    • Cornerstone / CSOD
    • Equipment connectivity and other manufacturing applications
Education and Experience Requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required and preferably with PMP, Agile, or other Project Management certifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of Project or Program Management experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience preferred in engineering, manufacturing systems, or program management.
  • Experience leading Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations within regulated environments, preferably medical devices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and large technical programs.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication.
Skills
  • Experience with Critical Manufacturing MES platform.
  • Experience integrating MES with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of BPCS ERP and/or SAP.
  • PMP, Agile, or other Project Management certifications.
