Job Summary
Tuskegee University seeks a highly qualified candidate for the Community Health Program. The Program Manager provides direct assistance to County Agents, Educators, Coordinators, and
Associated Faculty across the state in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of Community Health programs. This position works collaboratively with faculty, agents, specialists, and interns to ensure programs delivered across more than 20 counties are aligned with USDA approved outputs and outcomes and comply with applicable USDA regulations. The Program Manager plays a critical role in coordinating statewide Community Health initiatives and strengthening integration between Cooperative Extension, campus-based Public Health programs, and community partners. The position is located on campus and includes direct and indirect engagement with all counties served.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide direct programmatic support to County Agents, Educators, Coordinators, Associated Faculty, and interns across multiple counties.
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and report Community Health programs aligned with USDA and other Agency outputs, outcomes, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in meetings and conferences at the local, state, national, and international levels as approved.
- Provide technical expertise that complements the skills of faculty, staff, and students in Extension and campus programs.
- Serve as an integrator of information and services to ensure effective and consistent delivery of Community Health programming statewide.
- Collaborate with Extension and CISC leadership to support professional development for faculty, staff, and interns.
- Initiate and design participatory projects in collaboration with faculty and staff and ensure appropriate data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
- Develop and deliver programs in cooperation with faculty and staff across Tuskegee University.
- Participate in and, when appropriate, lead proposal development for Extension, Education, and Research initiatives.
- Prepare timely reports and documentation as required.
- Serve as a liaison between Cooperative Extension/ClSC and Public Health programs to support collaborative projects addressing community health needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Health Programs.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in healthcare or community health settings.
Community Health Program Manager Il
- Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health or a closely related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 6-9 years of experience working in healthcare or community health, including experience supporting multi-county or collaborative programs.
Community Health Program Manager Ill
- Master of Science degree in Public Health or a closely related field.
- 10 or more years of progressive experience in healthcare or community health, including leadership in large-scale or statewide programming.
