Under the supervision of the Scientific Director and the Scientific Coordinator, provide assistance with research and administrative tasks as part of efforts under the Thompson School Registry Hub. 2.

Collaborate as directed by the Scientific Director and the Scientific Coordinator with other Registry partners across the University, including, but not limited to the John A Burns School of Medicine, University Health Partners of Hawaii, University of Hawaii at Manoa Water Resources Research Center, and the Office of Strategic Health Initiatives. 3. Provide assistance to Registry leadership in preparing Institutional Review Board materials and justifications.

4. Assist with developing Registry study procedures and protocols, including questionnaire and codebook development. 6.

Assist with abstract, manuscript, data brief and report writing. 7. Conduct literature reviews.

8. Review in-text citations and prepare bibliographies. 9.

Attend staff and project meetings and take minutes. 10. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 1) Classified degree-seeking student in a Health, Psychology, Communications or Environmental Sciences related field under UH Graduate Division. 2) Be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above. 3) Maintain 6 credits per semester with the exception of those who have reached 800 (dissertation) or 700F (thesis)

4) Knowledge of environmental contaminants, environmental health, epidemiology, psychometrics and/or public health. 5) Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as Google Suite tools. 6) Experience with quantitative data collection and analysis.

7) Proficient in conducting literature searches and creating bibliographies using bibliographic software such as Zotero, EndNote, or RefWorks. 8) Strong oral and written communication skills. 9) Detail oriented and organized.

10) Responsible, dependable, and efficient. Desirable Qualifications: 1) A doctoral student at the University of Hawaii. 2) Knowledge of biostatistics as evidenced by coursework and/or experience.

3) Experience with statistical software, such as SPSS, R, and/or STATA. 4) Previous coursework and/or work on observational epidemiological studies, especially prospective cohort studies. 5) Experience preparing research reports and scientific manuscripts.

6) Experience preparing abstracts for scientific conferences. 7) Experience presenting material at scientific conferences. 8) Experience developing or administering surveys.

9) Academic, volunteer, or other type of engagement related to the Red Hill fuel and/or PFAS spills.
