Job description

Pay Range:

$17.00 - $23.80

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

HSHS St. John's Hospital is seeking a Health Clerk to join our team. The Health Clerk facilitates patient and clerical activities, including order entry, documentation, communication, system management, chart assembly and analysis, customer service/public relations activities related to patient care and unit operations.
Position Specifics:
Department: Surgery
Core Function: Nursing Support
Schedule: 36 hours/week; PM shift
Facility: St. John's Hospital
Location: Springfield, IL
Compensation: Compensation that aligns with experience. Shift differentials for night & weekend on top of base rate!
Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and/or previous course in medical terminology is desirable.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
