Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Architectural Associate โ€“ Entry-Level in the posting location below. In this role you will assist Project Managers by completing project design solutions for a wide variety of public and private sector projects. The position provides drawing support using a variety of graphics software and media, learning to prepare construction documents, beginning to learn client relations, and performing routine design tasks and project administrative tasks like writing reports. As an Architectural Associate, you will receive a well-rounded AXP experience for NCARB.
Posting Location for this role: Springfield, IL
What You'll Do:
  • Visit project sites to review and document existing conditions
  • Prepare early schematic presentation design model, illustrations and renderings
  • Assist in preparing detailed drawings for construction representations of architecture designs
  • Collaborate with our BIM/CAD Management Group
What You'll Need:
  • Masterโ€™s Degree in Architecture, preferred; Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Architecture, required; degree must be from a NAAB accredited university
  • 0-2 years of professional experience
  • Experience with SketchUp, Photoshop, and Rhino preferred
  • Proficient use of Revit required as well as computer graphic and 3D modeling experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
