JOB SUMMARYThe Sr Video Production Specialist is a versatile member of the in-house production team, supporting operations across three primary areas: video podcast production, live boardroom broadcasts, and creative/event-based content. Responsibilities flex across these domains based on team needs, project priorities, and individual strengths. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong technical fundamentals, and the ability to contribute meaningfully across multiple stages of production.JOB DUTIES
  • Career level position that applies advanced and specialized expertise of an administrative or technical nature. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues and/or in making recommendations.
  • Receives little instruction on daily work and general instructions on newly introduced and/or more complex assignments.
  • Typically acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience. May assign tasks and provide guidance to lower level colleagues.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
  • Collaborates with leadership on design of A/V production environment and selection of equipment and digital tools
  • Stays current with emerging AV technologies, tools, and industry best practices to consistently enhance and evolve internal A/V productions at ERCOT
  • Exercises discretion in build out of video production systems, workflows, and processes
  • Partners with corporate communications on other creative productions such as podcasts and videos
  • Uses creative latitude to edit promotional cutdowns and short-form clips of video podcasts
  • Supports live podcast recordings as needed, which may include camera operation, live switching, signal troubleshooting, or mix-minus setup.
  • Manages metadata, tagging, and platform-specific optimization strategies for video podcast
  • Oversees distribution across platforms and ensure consistency in publishing
  • May assist the External Communications Manager with guest coordination, outreach, and scheduling
  • Collaborates with the External Communications Manager to align messaging, positioning, and overall voice of each episode edit
  • Supports live audiovisual production for boardroom meetings and executive sessions, by operating remote PTZ cameras, assisting with switching, supporting audio workflows, and managing presentation software (e.g., ProPresenter)
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues in real time with minimal disruption
  • Works creatively alongside the in-house videographer to capture internal events, key initiatives, and messaging content
  • Adapts responsibilities based on the creative and technical needs of each project
  • Possesses strong organizational skills andthe ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
EXPERIENCE
  • Requires minimum 5 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements
  • Requires experience in videography, live production, and video editing
  • Requires familiarity with tools such asAdobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve,ProPresenter,or similar platforms
  • Requires working knowledge of live production workflows, including cameras, audio, and signal flow
  • Prefer experience supporting high-profile events or live broadcasts
  • Requires ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Requires occasional business travel 3-4 times per year
EDUCATION
  • Requires associate's degree in, Film/Media Production, Audio/Visual Technology, Broadcasting or related field
  • or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required
