PTL (Professional Truck Driver) typically requires a CDL and involves long-haul freight transportation, often over long distances. Delivery Drivers usually hold a standard driver's license and focus on local or regional deliveries. While both roles involve driving, PTLs are more associated with freight trucking companies, whereas Delivery Drivers work across various industries like retail and food services. Understanding these differences helps job seekers find roles aligned with their credentials and work preferences.
