Physical Therapist (PTA) – (Contract)


Job Description:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports Physical Therapists in delivering care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions. The PTA helps implement treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and function under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Key Duties:

  • Assist patients with prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities

  • Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment

  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs

  • Maintain equipment and treatment areas

  • Communicate patient status with the supervising Physical Therapist

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program

  • Current state PTA license or certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be required)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to follow treatment plans accurately
