The LCSW will engage with students primarily through virtual platforms, utilizing teletherapy tools designed for a seamless therapeutic experience. • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the mental health needs of clients, including psychometric evaluations as necessary.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with the specific goals of each client, focusing on behavioral, emotional, and social issues.
• Provide various modalities of therapy, including individual, group, and family counseling sessions, catering to diverse needs and circumstances.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate clients’ progress in achieving their treatment objectives, adjusting plans as required based on their evolving needs.
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and school personnel, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.
• Administer crisis intervention services during high-stress situations, providing immediate support and stabilization for clients in distress.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions, services rendered, and outcomes achieved, adhering to confidentiality and regulatory standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying updated on advancements in mental health practices and research.

The primary client population for this role includes school-aged children and adolescents who face various mental health challenges. These may encompass anxiety, depression, family dynamics, behavioral issues, and trauma, among others. Working collaboratively with families and educators, the LCSW aims to create supportive environments that foster resilience and coping skills in students, ultimately enhancing their academic performance and social interactions.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program is mandatory.
• Current and valid clinical social work licensing in Illinois, ensuring the ability to practice independently in a clinical capacity.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with a diverse client base.
• Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information regarding clients.
• A strong commitment to working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also exhibiting the initiative to work independently.

• Experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable, with a focus on implementing therapeutic interventions within educational frameworks.
• A history of working with children and teenagers, specifically in managing behavioral health conditions or family therapy.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and methodologies to provide effective remote counseling.
