Services are provided according to each client's authorized plan of care and MaineTouch guidelines.As a PSS, you will:Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and basic hygieneSupport clients with mobility and transfers, including safe movement with or without mobility aidsHelp with household tasks related to care, including light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linensAssist with meal preparation, meal serving, grocery shopping, and errands as outlined in the care planProvide companionship and conversation and support daily routines or hobbiesObserve and report changes in a client's condition or safety concerns to your supervisorFollow all instructions and perform only tasks listed in the client's service planComplete required documentation accurately and on timeFollow infection control and safety guidelines during all client interactionsMaintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and MaineTouch policiesRespond appropriately to emergencies and report incidents immediatelyTreat all clients with dignity and respectMaintain dependable attendance and follow assigned schedulesFollow all MaineTouch policies and procedures and participate in required training Who This Job Is ForThis position is a good fit for individuals who:Enjoy one-on-one work with clientsPrefer working independently rather than in large teamsAre dependable and comfortable working in home settingsWant flexible schedulingAre looking for meaningful, hands-on work that makes a difference QualificationsMust be at least 17 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED preferredActive PSS certification in the State of Maine, OR willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hireCNA (active or inactive) acceptedNo experience required - training and support providedMust not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findingsAbility to work independentlyPhysical ability to assist with mobility and daily activitiesStrong communication skillsAccess to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentationReliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent) Additional InformationJob Types: Full-Time, Part-TimeWork Location: In person (client homes)Schedule: Flexible; shifts may range from 2-40 hours per weekShift Availability: Day, evening, weekend, and overnight if applicable How to ApplyApply today to begin the hiring process.
