You will lead, support and standardize audit programs and technical assessments for industrial systems and equipment including boilers, ammonia, combustible dust, Legionella risk, and flammable and hazardous gases. In this role, you will also ensure factories understand audit expectations, close gaps effectively, sustain compliance, and apply consistent engineering standards, risk identification, documentation practices and governance routines. In partnering with cross-functional factory teams, corporate teams and technical stakeholders, you will mitigate operational risk, strengthen regulatory compliance, and build compliance capability across the organization.

  • Drive Engineering compliance and auditing programs including Boiler House Safety Assessments (BHSA), Ammonia Safety Assessments (ASA), Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA), flammability and hazardous gases assessments, and Legionella Management Plans (LMP)
  • Lead and support Engineering compliance across North American factories with standardized application of building audits, regular reviews of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plans (RMP), audit preparation and related technical assessments
  • Develop, maintain and deploy audit standards, protocols, evidence expectations, scoring approaches, corrective action governance and reporting routines that enable consistent compliance execution across sites
  • Partner with factory engineering, maintenance, safety, environmental, quality, operations and project teams to identify compliance gaps, prioritize risk-based actions, validate closure evidence and improve sustained audit readiness
  • Provide technical expertise on regulated and high-risk engineering systems, including boiler systems, ammonia refrigeration systems, combustible dust and flammable materials, water systems requiring Legionella control, buildings, utilities, and PSM and RMP-covered processes
  • Lead and support incident reviews, root cause analysis, risk assessments, management-of-change reviews, technical escalations and corrective action plans related to engineering compliance findings and audit observations
  • Build capability across the North American factory network through compliance training, coaching, knowledge sharing, audit preparation support, lessons learned and deployment of standard work processes

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in industrial services, utilities, compliance, process safety, maintenance, capital project, audit and/or technical leadership in a manufacturing, industrial or related environment
