Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.

Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.

Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

Provide technical support for the Electrical Design Engineering Branch at Salem and Hope Creek Generating Stations. Candidate will perform the duties of a Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE): Establishing and Developing applicable information associated with Design Change Packages (DCPs)  

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure scope & details of proposed Design solutions are agreed upon by affected departments 
  • Coordinate departmental resources and contracted engineers required for development & implementation of DCPs, including technical acceptance, resolution of comments, and schedule 
  • Develop & communicate schedules for deliverables with contract Engineers, Project Managers and your Supervisor 
  • Perform other Engineering duties as determined by the Electrical Design Engineering Manager 
  • Support of Emergency Response Organization 
Job Specific Qualifications

Required: 

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical Degree. 
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in the nuclear industry (or) related experience.(Applicable 
  • Master's Degree may be counted as 1 year experience, Ph.D. as 2 years) 
  • Strong ability to organize, document and communicate, both oral and written 
  • Ability to inspect Electrical systems in a nuclear power plant setting (Industrial Facility) 
  • Ability to support shift work during plant outages and generation challenges 
  • Must meet Civilian Nuclear Fleet requirements for Unescorted Plant Access 
  • A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation (https://www.pseg.com/IDrequirement) is required for this job. Must provide appropriate documentation to meet access requirements on the date of hire.
     

Desired: 

  • Design Engineering configuration control or Project Management experience 
  • Nuclear experience at a Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR), Boiling Water Reactor 
  • Experience in Protection Relaying, Large Transformers, Switchyards, Power Distribution, Cables, Turbine-Generators, Arc Flash 
  • Experience in one or more of the following programmatic disciplines: Safe Shutdown Analyses/Appendix R; Electrical Calculations with proficiency in ETAP, NERC Standards and Compliance Requirements
