Provider Services Support Specialist

We’re searching for a Provider Services Support Specialist to join our team!! The Provider Services Support Specialist serves as an administrative resource for the Provider Services team, providing coordination and support throughout the provider’s lifecycle.

This position assists with recruitment activities, onboarding support, credentialing and privileging support, meeting coordination, and administrative projects that contribute to the successful recruitment, retention, and development of physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs). The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

What are we looking for?

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree required, in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative support experience required
  • Experience in healthcare, physician recruitment, human resources, medical staff services, or provider relations preferred
  • Minimal travel required – likely just for initial onboarding and annual corporate meetings.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, or onboarding activities strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, databases, or provider management systems preferred.

Typical day in the life as a Provider Services Support Specialist:

  • Coordinate provider candidate interviews, including scheduling, travel arrangements, itineraries, and meeting logistics.
  • Communicate with Pain Fellowship Programs to assist with relationship building and identifying candidates coming out of fellowship programs
  • Verifies candidate’s fellowship training and ABA pain board certification
  • Conducts candidate background checks and initial drug screens and reference checks (at times also for internal PMG recruiting)
  • Maintain recruitment databases, candidate records, and tracking systems.
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of recruitment materials, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and recruitment agencies throughout the recruitment process.
  • Support provider recruitment events, career fairs, and networking activities.
  • Tracks all candidate communication and manages provider database
  • Support Provider Services Manager with coordinating onboarding activities, checklists, and schedules for newly hired physicians and APCs.
  • Maintain accurate provider records (Modio), reports, and departmental files.
  • Manage calendars, schedules, and meeting coordination for department leaders.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.
