Description:

Academy Access Solutions is seeking an Operations Manager to help lead our Overhead Door and Dock service line. This is a growing area of our business focused on overhead door and dock leveler inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and installations. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, developing the team, ensuring customer satisfaction, and improving overall business efficiency.


Position Responsibilities:

  • The Operations Manager owns the day-to-day performance of the Overhead Doors & Docks team
  • Recommend and implement operational and process improvements designed to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the trade, leveraging technical, hardware, industry, and market knowledge to support operations, resolve customer and prospect inquiries, and guide service offerings
  • Monitor operational KPIs, profitability, and other performance metrics
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance and reactive service programs for new and existing customers
  • Continue expanding and strengthening the vendor network
  • Collaborate with leadership to integrate systems and processes into existing company operations
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Act as a hands-on operator who understands the trade while also providing strategic leadership
Requirements:
  • 5-10+ years of operations or service-management experience in commercial overhead doors and docks
  • Strong technical and trade knowledge of overhead doors, dock equipment, and related hardware
  • Proven people-leadership experience managing technicians or skilled-trade crews
  • Experience managing and growing a service offering
  • Customer-focused mindset with experience serving multi-site commercial or industrial accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational plans and achieve established goals
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate operational processes, procedures, and performance metrics
