Job description


Aramark Nexus is hiring a Transportation Manager for Caprock Workforce Community, located outside Pampa, Texas. This full-time transportation leadership role supports daily shuttle, bus, driver, dispatch, logistics, Vehicle Maintenance Scheduling and transportation operations for a large residential workforce community serving residents, employees, visitors, and client sites.
The Transportation Manager will report to the Transportation Director and help oversee safe, reliable, and efficient transportation service to and from client locations and within the Caprock operating environment. This role is a strong fit for candidates with experience as a Transportation Manager, Fleet Manager, Dispatch Manager, Vehicle Maintenance Scheduling, Shuttle Operations Manager, Bus Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, Transit Supervisor, or Transportation Supervisor.
The Transportation Manager will support driver leadership, dispatch coordination, route execution, DOT compliance, FMCSR requirements, vehicle readiness, service quality, safety expectations, and daily transportation performance. This is a hands-on management role in a 24/7 workforce community where transportation is a key part of the resident and client experience.
The right candidate will bring strong transportation operations experience, a safety-first mindset, clear communication, customer service skills, and the ability to lead drivers, dispatchers, and transportation team members in a fast-moving environment.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $59,000 to $80,000. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Aramark Nexus supports hospitality, food service, facilities, transportation, residential operations, and workforce community services for people who live and work on site. Nexus teams help create clean, safe, welcoming, and well-run environments where residents can rest, recharge, connect, and feel supported throughout their stay.
Caprock is a workforce community located outside Pampa, Texas, designed to provide a comfortable, connected, and well-supported living experience. The community includes private, fully furnished rooms, Wi-Fi, climate control, on-site dining, housekeeping, laundry, transportation services, resident support, recreation areas, and security services.
As part of the Aramark Nexus team at Caprock, the Transportation Manager helps ensure residents and employees can move safely and reliably between the community and client sites. This role supports the transportation systems, people, schedules, and standards that help the entire operation run smoothly.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the Transportation Director in managing daily transportation operations for Caprock Workforce Community.
  • Coordinate transportation service to and from client sites, residential areas, and assigned operating locations.
  • Help lead drivers, dispatchers, and transportation team members in day-to-day operations.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management for transportation staff.
  • Monitor bus, shuttle, route, and dispatch activity to ensure safe, timely, and reliable service.
  • Address client, resident, guest, and employee transportation needs in a responsive and professional manner.
  • Help ensure compliance with DOT rules, FMCSR requirements, safety standards, driver records, and transportation documentation.
  • Partner with the Transportation Director to review service performance, staffing needs, route coverage, and operational risks.
  • Support vehicle readiness, inspections, issue reporting, maintenance coordination, and safe operating practices.
  • Resolve service issues, schedule changes, route concerns, and operational conflicts.
  • Communicate clearly with drivers, dispatchers, site leaders, client partners, and other departments.
  • Maintain awareness of environmental objectives, safety expectations, and transportation-related impacts.
  • Support financial controls, labor management, cost awareness, and operational reporting.
  • Help organize and manage multiple transportation priorities in a fast-paced 24/7 community setting.
  • Promote a positive team environment focused on safety, service, accountability, and reliability.

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a valid CDL A or B with a Passenger Endorsement
  • Transportation, logistics, fleet, shuttle, bus, dispatch, or related operations experience required.
  • Prior supervisory, team lead, assistant manager, or transportation management experience required.
  • Working knowledge of DOT rules, FMCSR requirements, transportation safety, driver records, and compliance expectations.
  • Strong ability to lead people, support daily operations, and help drive results through others.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to support financial controls, labor planning, reporting, and operational performance.
  • Ability to work on site at Caprock Workforce Community outside Pampa, Texas.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency support based on business needs.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience as a Transportation Manager, Fleet Manager, Dispatch Manager, Shuttle Operations Manager, Bus Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, Transit Supervisor, Transportation Supervisor, or Operations Manager.
  • Experience managing drivers, dispatchers, bus operations, shuttle operations, fleet activity, route planning, or client transportation service.
  • Experience in workforce housing, hospitality, campus transportation, employee shuttles, transit operations, logistics, construction support, industrial sites, or large residential communities.
  • Experience supporting DOT compliance, FMCSR requirements, driver qualification files, vehicle inspections, route coverage, and transportation safety programs.
  • Experience with transportation scheduling, dispatch systems, service recovery, labor planning, and operational reporting.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 operation with a high level of resident, employee, client, and vendor interaction.
