Location: Remote, USA

Gross annual base salary: USD 114,000-148,000

Additional variable compensation and benefits may apply. Total compensation is based on experience, skills, and location using objective, job-related criteria.

Summary

The Senior Engagement Manager will act as a trusted advisor and strategic resource within the OneStream client base, presenting solution options and plans to deliver OneStream solutions efficiently and effectively. Senior Engagement managers will also manage implementation projects designated as strategic by senior management for reasons such as client size (annual revenues, etc.), industry, billable revenue, complexity, and global presence. The Senior Engagement Manager partners with Sales, Services and Support teams to manage expectations and ensure client reference ability and retention. In addition, the Senior Engagement Manager will work to identify other areas of opportunity for OneStream within the client organization.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of engagement economics and coordination with other service lines within OneStream to deliver effective customer relationship management of multiple accounts, driving engagements to successful conclusion and positioning OneStream for additional future opportunities.
  • Provides full scope project management and ensures effective initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure (may include multiple projects or a singular large, strategic project).
  • Develops and maintains project plans and schedules that enable effective management of the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget.
  • Regularly communicate progress, issues and risks to the client and internal stakeholders, and manages and documents scope changes that impact project budgets and schedules.
  • Leverages OneStream's engagement methodology and serves as a focal point for partner-led projects while maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with associated third-party partners and vendors.
  • Establishes, builds, and maintains relationships with practice directors, regional sales directors, and clients to facilitate consulting service and software license sales.
  • Supports and participates in local sales pipeline filling events (CPM seminars, webinars, etc.).
  • Provides assistance as needed with implementation workstreams, including oversight of project budgets, ensuring adherence to quality standards by reviewing project deliverables, and providing oversight of improvement projects for project management tools.
  • Supports employee onboarding and engagement initiatives by identifying staffing requirements, helping to maintain proper project staffing levels, actively participating in the recruitment process, and mentoring new team members.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for Waterline, PRIME and other methodologies.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics, or CIS, or equivalent area of study.
  • 12 - 15 years of related work experience, including implementing complex software solutions.
  • 8+ years of project management experience or equivalent level of technology project lead experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project or related project management software tools.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Technology.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or similar professional project management designation.
  • Prior experience with any of the following products is a plus:
  • OneStream
  • SAP Outlooksoft BPC or SAP BOFC (Cartesis)
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Hyperion Planning or Hyperion Essbase
  • FDM (Financial Data Quality Management) or UpStream
  • IBM Cognos
  • Or other EPM solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to present complex topics in an easily digestible manner.
  • Excellent ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Ability to discuss prior engagements with prospects and facilitate or participate in reference calls.

  • Ability to effectively work both independently and in group settings.
  • Ability to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations.

Travel

Travel Requirement: Regular travel (primarily domestic but occasionally international) will be required for this role (approximately 80% - 100%).
