Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, drafting, negotiation, redlining, and execution of high value construction contracts, amendments, and agreements with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for natural gas/power infrastructure projects.
  • Analyze contract terms for risks, compliance with legal/regulatory standards (e.g., energy sector regs), and alignment with project goals; recommend strategies to protect company interests.
  • Partner with outside legal counsel to ensure swift contract negotiations and execution.
  • Monitor contract performance, track deliverables, manage change orders, and resolve disputes; conduct audits and direct corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, summaries, and presentations on contract status, project risks, costs, and milestones for C-suite review and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with project teams, procurement, legal, engineering, and finance to support solicitation processes, vendor evaluations, and post-award administration.
  • Oversee insurance endorsements, billing, fiscal projections, and compliance for construction-related agreements.
  • Provide guidance on complex procurements (e.g., design-build, EPC) and serve as a subject matter expert on contract best practices in oil/gas/energy construction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPCM, NCMA) preferred.
